CLS also build many types of garden room we always use Cedar wood to clad our garden rooms because it is extremely durable and gives a fantastic finish with the rich hues of red and brown which blends in with the natural environment creating a classic timely look and feel. We can clad your conversion with whatever you wish but we recommend Western Red Cedar for that maintenance free guarantee because the timber stands up to the every changing seasons if it is teated or untreated.
It can be treated to persevere the natural colours but if it is not treated it will, slightly discolour but rest assured this will be good for around 50 years we do not generally treat our garden rooms but this can be done on request we typically use OSMO red cedar 428 to oil the garden room.

Why choose a garden room with Hardi Plank
CLS are now offering a rant of Hardi Plank options in our garden rooms because it is extremely durable fire retardant and gives a fantastic finish with over 21 colour and styles to choose from these can be installed either vertically or horizontally with corner beams and finishes to match any type of plank, many clients use the VL range for there garden room which looks fantastic in any colour.
We have used Hardi plank both in VL range and original ship lapped barn style and to stunning effect the board is a composite of sand fibrous cement and hardening agents which means it is extremely durable and Hardiplank also give their own guarantee against deterioration of the boards they also come in two different styles smith or wood effect.

Our roofing system
For our finished roof surface we now use a Trapezoidal Insulated Roof Panel to provide the best insulation and finish for your roof these pre finished panels already contain your insulation and come in anthracite grey for your roof.
Its thermally efficient QuadCore insulation core will help you to stay warm in the winter and cool in the summer, whilst its Anthracite Grey metal facing provides a sleek, premium finish with trims and cover pieces all to match the colour of the roof .
We are now fitting this roof as standard on all our garden rooms for a few reasons firstly it is a premium product which is pre finished secondly the insulation value compared to celotex is far better as there are no gaps for heat leakage thirdly we can install and finish this roof in one day and we also don’t need dry days to do this especially with the British weather.
